Trip Overview

Beginning and ending in Dehradun, the Har Ki Dun Trek travels through Sankri, Gangarh, Osla and Kalkatiyadhaar before reaching the spectacular Har Ki Dun Valley inside Govind Pashu Vihar National Park.

The route combines Himalayan village culture, dense forests, glacial rivers, waterfalls, alpine meadows and panoramic views of Swargarohini, Kala Nag, Bandarpunch and Hata Peak.

Day-wise itinerary

Day 1

Dehradun → Sankri

Begin with a scenic drive from Dehradun to Sankri through Mussoorie, Barkot, Purola, Mori and Netwar. Arrive at the beautiful Himalayan village of Sankri.

Day 2

Sankri → Gangarh → Osla

Drive to Gangarh and begin trekking beside the Rupin River. Walk through forests, waterfalls, wooden bridges and traditional villages before reaching Osla.

Day 3

Osla → Kalkatiyadhaar

Gradually climb through forests, mountain ridges and open meadows. Enjoy views of the Supin–Ruinsara confluence, Kala Nag and Bandarpunch before reaching Kalkatiyadhaar.

Day 4

Kalkatiyadhaar → Har Ki Dun Valley → Kalkatiyadhaar

Hike through alpine meadows and rhododendron forests to reach Har Ki Dun Valley. Experience panoramic Himalayan views before returning to Kalkatiyadhaar.

Day 5

Kalkatiyadhaar → Osla

Descend towards Osla while enjoying peaceful forests, mountain streams, rivers and traditional village landscapes.

Day 6

Osla → Gangarh → Sankri

Complete the final trekking section to Gangarh and continue by vehicle to Sankri for the final evening of the expedition.

Sankri → Dehradun

Drive back to Dehradun through the Himalayan landscapes, bringing the memorable Valley of Gods journey to an end.
